I write both middle-grade and young adult books, and I have a trilogy published in each age group. My middle-grade series, The Pirate Princess Chronicles, is a fantasy adventure trilogy perfect for readers who love action, humor, and a touch of mild romance. For fans of young adult fiction, my retelling of Alice in Wonderland, The Looking Glass Chronicles, offers a fresh twist on the classic tale. My YA books don't include strong language, graphic violence, or anything beyond kissing. I want my stories to be fun and engaging for readers of all ages!

Today is International Day of the Girl Child so I wanted to share the main female characters in my YA trilogy, The Looking Glass Chronicles. Each of them is strong in their own way. Alice is a scrappy survivor who has a cool head, a kind heart, and a mean right hook. Citrine uses her intellect to solve problems and isn't afraid to leave the library to get things done. Lyssandra is ruthless and clever while being chronically underestimated. Azalea is a fierce warrior who never acts without thinking things through first. The trial scene in Jabberwock's Curse is one my favorites that i've written. It's completely ridiculous, and I cackle every time I read it. This shouldn't come as a huge suprise for anyone that knows me. After all, Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies of all time. So how about you? I published my first book in October 2018. I was 45 years old. Even though that's not old, there have been times I regret not starting earlier. When those doubts intrude, I remind myself that if I had, those stories by my younger self would have been different because I was different. If you are doubting yourself, wondering if it's too late or you missed your chance, remember the person you are today has something to offer that past you couldn't yet.
