I’m so glad you stopped by! I hope you’ll stay and have a look around. I just launched the second book in my middle-grade fantasy adventure trilogy The Pirate Princess Chronicles called Pan’s Secret: A Pirate Princess’s Quest for Answers. You can read more about that here.
While I am super excited to get my second book out into the world (and get started on book 3), I’m pretty into books and reading in general. I was that kid who had her nose stuck in a book all the time. As a writer and teacher, I’m also passionate about turning kids onto reading, too. Kids who read a lot have a big advantage academically, as I’m sure you know. Not to mention, a new study came out recently that said people who read a lot of fiction are more empathetic. So, not only does reading make you smarter, it makes you nicer too. Total win-win!
As a middle-grade teacher, I know for some kids, though, reading is just hard. If that describes a child in your life, please make sure you check out my free checklist: 5 Ways to Lure the Reluctant Reader. By clicking the button, you’ll also have the opportunity to sign up for my email list. Don’t worry – I’ll only be sending out about one or two emails a month that will include fun book activities, middle-grade/YA book reviews, news about giveaways and writing contests for young writers, and of course, news about my latest releases.
I’m always looking for new books to experience, so if you have one you love, please feel free to share it with me.
Again, thanks for stopping by!
